Edison Consultants was engaged to provide building services engineering consultancy for this project. Our services included the design, documentation and project management of Electrical Services, Fire protection Services, Mechanical Services, Structured Cabling, and specialist lighting protection systems.

The project consisted of three sub-projects. Project 1 involved the complete upgrade of the electrical services infrastructure for this facility including new switchboards and modifications of existing distribution boards for the entire building. Project 2 included complete new server room facility with fire supression systems and dual redundant air conditioning systems. Project 3 included lightning protection system for the whole building including the main aircraft hanger.

A major feature of Project 1 was that the entire electrical services infrastructure was designed and constructed in such a way that minimised disruptions to the operations which continued to function at all times during the construction work.

Projects 1 and 2 were completed and have been operating for some years now. Project 3 is awaiting civil aviation approval due to the flight path proximity.
